Stewards from across the Twin Cities Hospitals sector came together on Monday for the 1st annual Twin Cities Hospital Leadership Summit. The day was spent discussing the 2010 goals for the sector and various trainings while learning about their fellow stewards from hospitals throughout the metro.

Member Action Center staff conducted 'Advanced Grievance Training' for stewards to develop greater comfort and understanding within the grievance process. Sample grievances were reviewed from Step 1 to the arbitration process.

Additionally, Congressman Keith Ellison met with TCH stewards to give an update on healthcare reform and urge members to call their representatives.

Stewards in the Twin Cities Hospitals work in a variety of positions at Childrens Minneapolis and St. Paul, HealthEast Bethesda and St. Johns, Fairview Southdale and Riverside, Park Nicollet Methodist and North Memorial Medical Center.
