We gave the employer our wage proposal today, and are waiting for a response. It was clear from the demands survey that wages are the top priority for members.
The employer states that we have a lot of work to do to come to a settlement. However, the membership feels we deserve an increase that covers the rising cost of living.
The seniority protection currently in our contract that we’ve fought for is at risk with the employer’s current proposal at the table.
