This year Jane Diederich, a Nursing Assistant Coordinator for over 27 years was awarded Employee of the Year at Golden LivingCenter Lynwood after being nominated by the Executive Director and Director of Nursing.

Jane started out working as a night nursing assistant at GLC-Lynwood in 1990 and now is the Nursing Assistant Coordinator, in addition to being on the Safety Committee, Co-chair of the Employee Recognition Committee, and a Union Steward.

Executive Director, Shanna Swanson says, “Jane goes above and beyond the call of duty- she voluntarily does audits for the Director of Nursing to ensure quality of care, making sure fall preventions equipment is in place, residents rooms are clean and orderly, resident refrigerators are clean, audits weight books, and restorative/ambulation program, helps train and orientate new staff.”

Jane has committed her life to taking care of residents in a manner that is compassionate and promotes dignity. As one resident states, "Her touch is love. She always makes us feel better. She feels what we feel and we know it."
